  1. If the Conservatives are re-elected, they promised to extend RTB on housing associations. How can this actually happen how do you think housing associations will react to this please?

    1. Many apologies for the late response. The proposed right to buy for HAs is extremely problematic and either won’t happen or will be severely delayed. Its implications haven’t been thought through. The chances of replacement housing being financed from sales of higher value council housing are also minimal – certainly for several years. The analysis of the proposal done by the Institute of Fiscal Studies is a good guide to the issues and problems.
