One response to “The Plunder Continues”

Dana Frank is correct in saying that the Honduran state is not failed for those who benefit from the plunder of its resources, but for the majority of Hondurans it certainly is a failed state. In my 2010 interview with Berta Oliva de Nativi (https://theviolenceofdevelopment.com/berta-oliva-2/), President of COFADEH (the Committee of Relatives of the Detained and Disappeared of Honduras), she explains in depth why the term ‘failed state’ is appropriate for Honduras. The condition of Honduras had only worsened for the majority by 2016 when I interviewed Berta again (https://theviolenceofdevelopment.com/berta-oliva/).
